• The association of five orthodontists provides
more knowledge and built-in peer review.
• All of our doctors are Clinical Professors
at the Division of Orthodontics at the UCSF School
of Dentistry. They stay current on their knowledge
of research and treatment techniques.
• Our doctors serve the public. Dr. Meyer
and Dr. Nelson founded a low-income orthodontic
practice in Oakland (La Clinca de la Raza), at
which all of our doctors’ volunteer evenings
to run the orthodontic clinic. They also work
with other agencies that help to provide orthodontic
care for the underserved populations in the East
Bay.
• We offer three offices with more appointment
choices.
• We have some Saturday hours available for
patients with special needs.
• X-rays taken in our office (instead of
an outside lab) is more convenient, and quality
control is better.
• Retainers made in house allow for quick
construction and have better quality design and
fit. Originality of retainer design and color
pleases the patients.

This allows better practice services. Advanced
computer software allows better appointment management
and frequent high-quality written communication.

• Our treatment coordinator system helps
the new patient family learn all necessary information
before treatment starts.
• Our staff persons represent a collective
150 years of experience in orthodontics. They
and the five orthodontists work as a unified team.
Small staff meetings occur several times/ week,
with a major meeting of the entire staff once/month.
This coordination affords the patient the advantages
of continuity, responsiveness, economy of cost,
and extensive experience.

in the US and Europe through writing and teaching,
and consulting with manufacturers of orthodontic
appliances.
